nothing changes but the date
just finished reading body surfing by anita shreve. and it was good. i've also read her book the pilot's wife and blogged about it here.
i collect lines from books the same way i collect song lyrics and quotes. wondering if someday my children might go through my books and wonder what i found so mesmerizing on that particular dog-earred page.
below are a few such lines...
"sometimes i think nothing changes but the date."
"it's the light. the same scene on a cloudy day is depressing as hell."
"did you love jeff very much?"
"i did, but when something like that happens, it puts into question everything you once felt. what comes after taints it."
