is to be willing
to be dazzled-
to cast aside the weight of facts
and maybe even
above this difficult world.
I want to believe I am looking
into the white fire of a great mystery.
I want to believe that the imperfections are nothing-
that the light is everything..."
Mary Oliver "The Ponds"
recently took a composition class through digital photo academy at the dallas farmers market. spent about four hours playing with what makes a good photo, where i should stand (or lay) to make the photo look best, and having people stare because a huge group of girls armed with dslr cameras had invaded the market. it was great fun and i learned a lot.
since then i have been researching and tinkering with photoshop elements 10 trying to make my photos pop. it's slow going because there is so much out there to learn. but i am having a great time doing it. i half jokingly posted a status to facebook recently about wanting to pursue a degree in photoshop.
i wish.

I like them all, but I really, really like the Sunset Plants sign picture.
