dear isla,
running errands on saturdays is our family's weekend routine. it's the only day all three of us are together. grocery shopping is a given, we do that every single week. however, often other places are thrown in the mix. this past saturday, target and dollar tree were part of our to do list.
i don't remember the exact thing we needed at target. does anyone ever really remember why they went to target in the first place?
while we were there, i decided to go look for clothes. you needed some sweaters and long sleeve tees as the weather is beginning to get colder. you are still comfortably wearing 5T in most things. but, your little body is growing and you are tall like your daddy.
so for the first time ever, i shopped for you in the big girl section. it was such a big deal for me. everything was so much more girl-y than toddler-y or baby-y. the clothes are cut differently, the characters and words are different. its just all different.
you are as bunbun would say "growing like everything."
sometimes, i look at you in amazement and wonder how your legs go so long. you are becoming a full-blown little girl. you are not a baby, and havent been for some time now.
i love being your momma. and i love picking out your clothes. hopefully, you'll let me do it a while longer.
