isla is in a really fun stage right now. she can be incredibly silly sometimes. she cracks herself up a lot as well. sure, she has her moments of drama and defiance. but, i would say 75% of her awake hours are spent running around, dancing, jumping, and lighting up the room with her precious toothy smile.
she spends the majority of her day at school. bobby drops her off around 6:30 and i usually pick her up by 4:30. that would be a long day for anyone, especially a toddler. most days she is pretty cranky by the time we get home and the car ride home can be a real pain. i try to have snacks for her to munch on and music for her to dance to. but, some days she just won't have any of it. well, not the snacks, she will always have the snacks.
one day last week she was in a great mood the entire car ride home. she enjoying listening to the music on the radio and danced in her car seat like a crazy person. i reached my hand back to touch the edge of her car seat, expecting her to swat it away as she normally does. just like me, when she is in a bad mood, she does not want to be touched. but, on this particularly good day, she grabbed my hand and started shaking it along with her tiny dancing body.
it made me smile so big, that i blogged about it a week later.
each stage of her life has it's lows and highs. the lows can make me cry just as much as her, and the highs can make me smile with disbelief that we get to love this little person.
