what is good, what is pure, what is right

blogging to avoid cleaning up red-velvet-cake-icing-making-mess. i am quite the rebel.

it has officially been summer for a few weeks now. waking up with the sun, taking a quick jog around the 'hood, and afternoon naps have already spoiled this little school teacher.

a few days ago i started a "fun to do list." and i am looking forward to checking off those boxes. i love to do lists like nobodys business. but, this one is not for tasky house, work, school things... only fun things!

here is what i have so far...

i will be adding to this list as often as possible.
p.s. suggestions are welcome.

Hi Marli! Go check out the Bishop Arts district if you've never been. And the Belmont Hotel for the amazing view of downtown. http://www.belmontdallas.com/events.html

Write letters.
Make scrapbooks.
Make homemade bread.
Observe some kind of sabbath on Friday nights where you shut off cell phone/computers, have dinner by candlelight, drink lots of wine.
Coffee outside in the morning.
Keep a nature journal. Press leaves into it.
Make a watercolor painting and send it to someone.
Read poetry outside in the evenings.
