"thank you"

isla has started to say "thank you." as a mama very concerned with good manners this is very exciting! at first she would only say it after being prompted by mom or dad. but, after a couple weeks of that, she has started initiating it all on her own. she isn't quite using it in context yet, though. 

yesterday, we were all relaxing on the couch. isla has had a low-grade fever for the past couple days, and we have been taking it easy. i had my phone and glasses sitting on the arm of the couch next to me. she walked over and handed me both of them and said "thank you!" 

later, we were in the backyard, as bobby has started mapping out a deck for our backyard. she walked around the yard searching for things to get into, and picked up a spool of string, handed it to bobby, and said "thank you!"

of course, it comes out more like "fank oooooo," which makes it even cuter!
