fathers day

a day reserved for celebrating my papa, fathers' day has always been a little sad for me. with the absence of my biological father for a long time i felt left out.
slowly i have realized that i have male role models all around me. they call me each april fools day to say they drove by and noticed their jokes are corny my tire was flat. the packed lunch they send me out the door with has a silly roses are red poem modified for me. they protect my honor without question and tell me they love me in public.
