it ain't gonna change

it didn't matter if i was attached, heartbroken, single, or married... ever since kindergarten when i got my first mandatory valentine from that cute kid in my class i have loved valentine's day. those little candy hearts with cheesy sayings, the sweet treats, and flowers get me every time. coming from a boy, or a friend, or my students discriminate do i not.

never have i understood those people who claim to "hate" valentine's day. always seen it as a day to tell the people who mean the most that you love them. and i have plenty of those people in my life. i am so lucky in love.

being not single for the first valentines day in three years i am thrilled at the idea of what this year holds in store for me... if i had it my way the day would go a bit like this.
